Hi! Im Kathleen. Im a 30-year-old wife and mother living just outside of Houston, Texas.

Ive been married to my husband David since October 3, 2008. You can read a little more about our wedding here and see pictures here, but I gotta tell you the marriage has been even better.

We struggled with infertility and miscarriage for two and a half years before giving birth to our daughter Meredith on July 20, 2011.

Our family does not yet feel complete but right now we are loving the heck out of our family of three (plus two dogs)!

Im a working mom, which I have conflicted feelings about. Im an oncology nurse at an outpatient infusion clinic and I find it extremely challenging and rewarding. But I do ache for the missing time with Meredith and, lets be honest, for my other interests.

Because there are many! I am always reading and listening to an audiobook. So maybe I dont plow through them very fast, but I do plod along consistently and usually get through about fifty per year.

I also enjoy crafting. My first love is paper, but cross stitching is a close second. These days I keep up with Project Life (my favorite way of scrapbooking and the only one Ive found that works for me) and fit other things in as I can.

Style is something that inspires me but is also a new area of interest for me. The process of decorating our house and updating my personal wardrobe feels ongoing and never ending, but lots of fun.

My life is jam packed (with goodness!) and to make the most out of it Ive become a planner, a list maker, and a goal setter. I try to live with intention, even if that means I intend to let the dishes pile up and eat way too many M&Ms just this one time.

witchcraft supplies and altar tools Some other things I like are: sending and receiving cards, Jesus, the feeling after Ive exercised, soccer, dark chocolate, pedicures, automatic sliding doors, using cruise control during short trips, the semi-colon, songs that tell a story, foaming hand soap, fat furry animals, tulips, maps, a good sneeze, and tragic characters.

I dislike: seafood, asymmetry, baths, cockroaches, moving, recklessly fast drivers, smoking, bad or cold weather, beeping noises, clutter, sputum, politics, and gambling.

Welcome to my blog!
